Doh! I forgot to greet my blog a happy 1st birthday! Awryt! Oh well, gotta get back to doing nonsense.
2nd Sem
Time for some breathing exercises! Inhale... Exhale... Inhale... Exhale... breathe... Okay. I think I'm fine now.
Aaaaaaaaah!!! Sem-break is over! *wails in agony* Gone are the days of 1am to 11am sleeping hours. Gone are the days of brunch, junkfood, dinner and junkfood. Gone are the days of mindless wandering about the house, endless surfing of channels on cable, and pointless browsing on the internet. *sniffles* Well, until Christmas break at least. Hehehe
Second sem has officially started, and I am proud to say that I haven't completely lost touch with the real world yet. Sure, the necessity of a notebook totally slipped my mind, but at least my listening skills are still operational. *hits side of head a couple of times* Yup. Just needs a little jump start! Of course some vital information from last semester has been lost during the sembreak, but I think they can still be recovered. Hopefully they can still be recovered. Arrrggghh! They have to be recovered! Better start sorting the files in my head now. Gotta make some more memory space! Let's see... Childhood fantasies? Need that. Daydreams? Need that. Stupid, funny things my friends did? Need that. Hmm... Ah! Here we go! Ultra-important EEE stuff that probably has some use in higher years but I don't know what yet. Deleted! Alright! *cracks knuckles* Let's do this 2nd sem thing!
The Matrix
WARNING: You are about to read a post with a couple of SPOILERS for Matrix Revolutions.

Went out with my cousins last night to catch the 12mn showing of Matrix Revolutions. It was kind of a last minute thing actually. Everything happened so quickly that I didn't even think to turn them down! I just said, "Game!!!" That was one of my better impulsive decisions actually, because there was a free dinner at TGIF included (courtesy of my cousin). *grins*
As for the movie... Well... Ah...uhmm...hmmm... It was okay. I liked it better than Reloaded, but sheesh! Matrix Reloaded really had some dragging parts! At least there was no "clubbing scene" in Zion this time, and no "real-time sex scene" between Neo and Trinity. Of course they did exchange a couple of cheezy lines... I guess I think it would have been better if they left the Neo-Trinity pairing to be as kick-ass as in the first movie. Or maybe I just miss seeing both of them at one time kick everyone's ass! They were too caring in Revolutions... It wasn't at all surprising that Trinity died, but I still found their "final conversation" to be touching -- at least for the first few minutes. But then they just had to keep jabbering on and on! I mean come on! Let her die for crying out loud! Neo died as well as expected. Couldn't imagine any other purpose of "the one" actually. The role of Morpheus was disappointing. He didn't do anything! After that sequence in the club with the Frenchman, he just played assistant to Naobi! I liked Naobi, though. At least she did something.
As spectacular as Matrix Revolutions was, I feel as if there's something lacking. It was okay, really. At least I think it was worth the 130 pesos I paid. Hahaha! I have to think it was worth it! Otherwise I think I would be pulling my hairs out! But really. It was worth it for all the effects and choreography and philosophical chit chat. *grins* And probably a bulk of that money would go to the classic slow motion punch of Neo right into the cheek of Agent Smith! Totally anime-ish. Actually their whole fight scene looked like something out of Dragon Ball Z! *snickers*
Ah anyway that's Matrix for you. Still glad that I saw it... One of my cousins said it was reminiscent of Return of the Jedi of Star Wars. Hehehe not really, except for maybe some parallelisms. Wouldn't really compare Matrix to Star Wars though. Well that's that. The Matrix Trilogy is over, and I still say that the first one was the best, then Revolutions, then Reloaded.
Halloween
Probably the weirdest one I've had yet. Our visit to Manila Memorial Park last Friday was THE shortest one in the history of my life (well, at least for as long as I can remember). For some unknown reason, there is absolutely no water in the Parañaque area. The streets are buzzing with water delivery trucks, and as our luck would have it, our calls for delivery don't ever make it to the record books! My mom has called two delivery companies, and both assured us that we were on their list. Strangely enough, whenever we follow-up our order, our name disappears from the list! Stupid delivery...
The "drought" has been running for two days now... My sister and I have already evacuated to our condo here in Cubao where there's water supply 24/7. *sigh of relief* Bless my mother for buying this unit...
Anyway, as I mentioned, we went to MMP last Friday, and that was really a bad idea... Not like we had a choice because it's tradition, but it really couldn't have gone any worse. Right after we had dinner (at least we managed to squeeze that activity in), rain started to fall, and it just got heavier and heavier by the minute. Some of my relatives never even made it, so that really spoiled my plans of using my charm to convince my older siblings and cousins to go and catch a movie in the spirit of halloween. *sigh* Bummer really.
On Saturday, we went to South Cemetery. Still no water in Parañaque! After being MIA for so long, I'm surprised they still remember my name. Hahaha! That was an exaggeration of course, but I guess by our standards, not showing up for a whole semester is already pretty long. Hehe I couldn't drag them to the movies either. Hmmm... come to think of it, I don't recall ever going to the movies with them. Strange... maybe once, but I don't remember what it was that we watched. Whatever.
It's the Day of the Dead now. Hopefully water will start running in the Parañaque area again...
