Blogger Revamp
Wow! My posting area looks different! *giggles like a schoolgirl* Niiiice!!! I think it's more pleasing to the eye... Or maybe it's just because it looks different. hehe Whatever. I like it. At least they used pleasing shades of blue... Imagine if they used Blogger's official color, orange! *shudders* No thanks... hehe.
The posts area seems to keep reloading though... I wonder why. It's annoying me now... aaarrrrghhh! Stop it! Stop refreshing!!! Grrr....
The Story so Far...
Same same... Or is it getting worse? Lately, I've been coming out of my majors classes with my head aching. Ugh... I seem to have lost my appetite as well. I just eat so that I can say I'm still eating three meals a day. Don't want people making a big deal of my weight again. Hehe I think my course is bad for my health. Hehehe Or maybe I'm just being a big whiner. Ah... I don't know! ECE is damn hard!!! *frowns* And the first wave (of exams) hasn't even come yet! How depressing...
During my three-day summer vacation (hehehe), I was complaining that there wasn't anything to do around the house. Nothing to watch on TV, nothing to visit in the internet, nothing to read... but then lately, oddly enough, I find even the smallest, most insignificant piece of lint to be so riveting and absorbing that I choose to stare at it rather than do my schoolwork! *gasp* Shocking, isn't it? Ah... the mysteries of life. *grins*
Still can't get over Harry Potter. I wonder when book 6 will be coming out... My brother has been reading rumors on book 6 and 7, and he's been annoying me constantly! I already said that I don't like SPOILERS!!! No RUMORS! No interviews from JK Rowling! And I don't want to know what the last word is on book 7!!! He better not let anything slip...
Hahaha!!! I just realized earlier how funny my last post was. Putting spoiler warnings on my own blog! Hahahaha! I got myself sorted again in WarnerBros' Harry Potter website, and it just loves to put me in Slytherin. =) Oh well. Severus Snape rules!!! hehehe
I really have a problem with budgeting my time when it comes to studying... I thought that I'd gotten rid of my cramming last year, but it seems to be slowly creeping its way back into my system! Not good. I tell myself that I'm gonna study this and that tonight, and then the other one tomorrow... but yeah... There seems to be a lot of distractions lately... I think it's about time that I moved to Cubao so that I would be forced to study. Yeah... maybe I'll do that tomorrow. Exams start next week I think... *shudder* Okay, that does it. I am going to sleep at Cubao tomorrow! Hope it's not too dirty over there though.

Obviously, I've already read Harry Potter 5. Yeah, it took me around 14 hours and 45 minutes to finish it, eating and household chores included of course. *sigh* I think it's safe to say that I really didn't want to put the book down, as much as I was annoyed and irritated with Dolores Umbridge and the whole Ministry of Magic. Stupid, close-minded gits. You'd think that at their age, they would have learned to investigate and find out for themselves the truth behind the rumours. Such things aren't just ignored, you know. For an organization that was organized to protect not only the wizards and witches, but also the Muggles, they were doing a really lousy job. And it's not just Cornelius Fudge, mind you. Sheesh. Most of the people at the Ministry are already old enough to think (rationally) for themselves. How obvious the signs of cover-ups were!
And then there's that stupid ending. I spent last night reading the last chapters of the book, curled up in a chair in the living room (which we hardly use anymore except for entertaining guests) with a tissue in my hand. A TISSUE!!! I was sniffling like crazy, and my vision was blurred because of the tears in my eyes. That really didn't do me any good because it just slowed down my reading, and my neck was already hurting... But why oh why, of all the characters in the book, did they have to kill Sirius Black?! It's stupid! It's such a foul move! It's unjust! It's unfair! It's just so saaaaad... *sobs* I mean, what the hell was J.K. Rowling thinking?!?! It was awful. Just awful. Not the way he died of course... She didn't even make it dramatic. Just a zap and oops! Sirius is dead! Oh well, that's life. Heh. AAAARRGGHHH!!! I'm just so upset about the whole thing.
It wasn't all that bad though. A lot of questions were answered in the end, but I think J.K. Rowling should have distributed it more throughout the book. It's good to keep your readers guessing, but most of the middle part of the book were left to be filled with Dolores Umbridge's annoying escapades! The Educational Decrees 22 through 29... Making her headmaster... It was good to see the students causing trouble of course. And I'm happy with what happened with Fred and George. Good for them to get out of the school!
Nice twist with Harry and Neville though. Just think, the book series could have been named Neville Longbottom had Voldermort chosen him! I am still irked with the idea of Sirius being dead and all. I knew Harry should've used that package Sirius handed him!!! I wanted to shout at the book to remind Harry that he had other means of communication aside from Floo Powder. Honestly, Harry really isn't very smart, is he? I think J.K. just forgot that tiny bit of information and decided to put it in the end when Harry was sulking. It sure added some dramatic effect or something. More frustration, that's what the readers need! *frowns*
I was supposed to blog after finishing the book, but my dad saw me still up, so I had to go to sleep... My sister's reading it now, but she's a long, loooong way from finishing it... I need someone to talk to N-O-W! Anybody want spoilers? I want Sirius!!! I want my dog back!!!
Of course, I do realize that I'm talking about fictional characters here. Can't help it, I guess. I've always found reading to be a bit more personal. I've cried more while reading books than watching movies, did you know? hehehe Ah... must occupy my mind with something else... must read some school-related stuff. Thermodynamics should be a good start... Yeah. I'll start with that later...

Electrowhatever
I'm tired. I'm beat. I feel stupid. Just when I thought I was free of *shudder* Electromagnetics *shudder*, EEE43 rolls into my life, once again adding err.. flavor and excitement and unwanted anxiety. Right now, I have labeled the dreaded subject as "The Subject I will Most Likely Fail/Drop". Partly to blame is my boring professor, of course. I mean, sheesh! What's the matter with him?! It's not as if his subject is the easiest subject to pass. Only quite the opposite! *frowns* I get up at 5am just to make his 7:30am class, only to be greeted with a bedtime story. I didn't go all the way to UP to continue my sleeping time, mind you! Ughh...
Obviously, this blog is still going to be filled with school-related rants. I don't know. I can't seem to think of anything to say lately. It's been pretty boring around the house actually. There's nothing to watch on TV, nothing to do on the net, nothing to read, nothing to eat, nothing to do! Studying and household chores are not included of course. *sigh* Oh well... It's bound to get pretty busy in a few days because of school. I probably won't have time to think of anything else to do aside from exams and stuff. Mmm... how sad.
Independence Day
An unforgettable day for me... starting this year, at least. Today was my first time to drive to UP Diliman and back all alone! I really don't know how to take this. Part of me says that I should be happy because now I'm actually allowed to drive without my sister by my side. I am proud, though. Sure, I made numerous mistakes that I'd rather forget about because they're really starting to bug me, but I guess I would just learn from these. Cheezy, I know, but my life does depend on it.
I really am tired, though. Maybe it's because of the unusual traffic that greeted me this morning. They actually closed part of the Quezon Memorial Circle this morning because of some (stupid) Independence Day celebration! I had to make a detour, and since I had absolutely no idea which roads I should take, I had no choice but to follow the (heavy) traffic. It was stop and go. Stop and go. Stop. And. Go. And to think that I left home early to avoid the rush because I really am not that confident yet. God really has a weird sense of humor, doesn't He? *grins* It wasn't very amusing this morning, but hey. At least I had a memorable first time, didn't I?
Obviously, I'm home now. The drive home, although with lighter traffic, was uglier. No, wait. It was actually going smoothly up until that flyover from C5 to SSH. *shivers* I'm just glad I'm still alive.
Anyway, just a funny coincidence... My friend Tin also first drove on June 12th... Hehe Happy Indepence Day to both of us! *grins*
I'm enrolled!!!
I managed to get 18 units all in all despite the crappy results CRS gave me. *frowns* I had to settle for some Wednesday classes, though. *sigh* I guess it's good-bye to my rest day/gimmick day/review day then. There goes my already non-existent social life. hehe Registration wasn't so bad, though. Maybe it's because all I had to enlist were majors, so I really didn't have to wrestle with people who were desperate to get some GEs, nor did I have to pray to the high heavens for 'ascending' or 'descending' orders. *snicker* I do lack a lab class though, and that's pretty bad, but I'm trying not to think of it too much. I'm hoping that I would be able to get that through prerog.
Anyway, school starts next Monday... *shiver* must...have...some...FUN!!!
I have nothing to say yet... but expect some registration rants soon. hehe
